“We’re making memories.”
My grandmother said it often — during weddings, birthdays, Sunday dinners, even when an ice storm knocked out our power for three days. She’d say it with a soft smile, as if to remind us that these little moments, chaotic or calm, were the ones we’d carry with us forever.

Those words are etched into my soul.
